Ok, I get it. 1% of the population is insanely wealthy while the majority of us live paycheck to paycheck.
It sucks.
BUT.....
How is camping out in parks in New York or cities around the world helping anything? I wish it was making a difference, but I just don't see how it possibly could be. Do you think anyone going to their jobs each morning is going "well, we really should change the world because of those 90 crazies out here who refuse to go home."
This sounds bad, because, I know change has to start somewhere. I just don't understand how THIS is going to help.
(From an article on msn) “I heard that some of the 99 percent are the 1 percent of the 99 percent,” he added, and to which some people started applauding. “We don’t need that.”

Soooo however they are being funded, donations and what-have-you, the money in the OWS camp isn't being divided fairly! Imagine that! Someone always comes out on top. So what now? Just 2 months into it, the same problem is happening in this small group of people. I am having trouble seeing the silver lining here. What is going to change? Is this making the slightest bit of difference in anything???
Anyone have a clue!?!?

Penn State Scandal
I live in Pennsylvania-therefore, it's almost a given that I am a Penn State fan. In fact, I live in Pittsburgh...and hate Pitt. I love Penn State. My best friend went to school there while I chose West Virginia University. And my biggest regret in life is that I didn't go to State College with her.
That being said, I am on the outside of this story. I am not an alumni. I am not a student. I have no real loyalty to this school. I feel absolutely terrible about what has happened and hope nothing more than for the school to be able to recover and be better than ever following this horrific incident.
But this blog is called 'Just My Opinion,' so here it is....
Jerry Sandusky deserves to get 'eye for an eye' in whatever jail he gets to rot in. I am sure everyone agrees.
Mike McQueary is a despicable man who was more worried about losing his job than he was about the poor boy he watched get molested. He deserves to be fired and jailed, as well. Is it not a crime to see a crime happen and not report it? What about the Good Samaritan law?
Joe Paterno was told by McQueary what he saw, and instead of insisting McQueary go to the police, or going to the police himself, he told his supereriors for them to handle.
Tim Curley and Dave Shultz were given the responsibility to investigate. They did nothing but cover it up.
NO ONE CALLED THE POLICE TO INVESTIGATE! Guess what? That is what they are there for! Why did NONE of these men call the police? To save their beloved football program's reputation. So for the last 10 years, Sandusky was allowed to come and go as he pleased to the institution, and who knows if any more young boys have been molested???
If, in the last 10 years, any child has been inappropriately touched by Sandusky, it is ALL of their fault And they should ALL be punished for their INACTION.
Legally, Paterno and McQueary were only required to report the incident to their superiors. And they did just that. Morally and ethically, they are both poor excuses for human beings. I don't care how little information Paterno had. If someone came to him with a POSSIBLE molestation case, as a decent human being, that should be told to the police for THEM to investigate...not just the school board. I don't care how many bowl games they have won or how successful they have been in the last 60 years. How can you trust a man who covered up a child molestation? Why is it more important that he is a good coach than a good human being?
I actually had someone tell me that if they were McQueary, they would have done the same thing, for fear of losing their job. (ie not go to anyone but their superior). I am incredibly disappointed and hurt by them saying this...Who cares about your stupid job when innocent children are having their lives destroyed? My child or not, their safety comes before my financial needs. If I am fired for reporting a molestation, who is in the wrong? Me, or the idiots who fired me? At least I could sleep at night knowing I did the right thing.
And why is everyone focusing on poor Coach Joe who was going to retire anyway, and not the children and families who now have to live/relive this nightmare? Everyone seems to need a reality check and figure out what is truly important here.
All of their inaction is just as horrific as Sandusky's actions. Their inaction potentially led to MORE molestations, because he knew he could get away with it. So, I hold all of them in the wrong. No matter how little they were actually involved.

New to the Blogging World!
Thanks, John for saying I should start a blog.
I took your advice immediately. I did miss having a xanga. And hopefully getting all of my thoughts out on here will help with the headaches. ;-)
My mind races. A lot. I am frustrated. A lot. And I have opinions on everything. So why not have an outlet to try to organize my thoughts and let the world benefit from them. :-)
Chance are, I will piss people off sometimes. But these are just my thoughts and opinions. I will not speak for anyone else. I have to consider this blogging thing to be for my benefit. Once a thought is put on here or on paper, it eases my mind.
So (here's hopping) happy reading!
